Obion Tennessee is located in the southern portion of Obion
County. Established in 1872 and named for it's proximity to the Obion River, a Chickasaw
Indian name meaning "river of many forks", Obion is a community of some 1300
residents. Agriculture is a major component of the local economy, and industry includes
garment manufacturing. The area boasts a diversity of wildlife, and hunting and fishing
